Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 June 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Bodyline Auto Panel & Paint website at bodylineauto.co.za and the panel beating, spray painting and vehicle restoration services provided by Bodyline Auto Panel & Paint ("we", "us", "our"), a business operating in South Africa. By requesting a quote, booking a repair, or using our website, you agree to these Terms in full.
2. Quotes & Repair Authorisation
- Quotes generated through our computerised quoting system are estimates based on the information and photos provided, or on an in-person assessment.
- A final, itemised quote is confirmed once your vehicle has been physically assessed at our facility.
- We reserve the right to revise the quote if further damage is discovered once panels are stripped down (e.g. hidden structural damage not visible during the initial assessment). You will be informed before any additional work proceeds.
- For insurance claims, the quote is subject to approval by your insurer or their assessor.
- Work will only begin once you (or your insurer) have authorised the final quote.
3. Turnaround & Collection
- Estimated turnaround times are communicated at drop-off and may vary depending on parts availability and the scope of repair.
- You will receive an SMS notification once your vehicle is ready for collection.
- Vehicles not collected within 7 days of the ready-for-collection notification may be subject to a storage fee.
- We reserve the right to reschedule work in the event of parts delays, staff illness, or force majeure. We will provide as much notice as possible.
4. Payment
- For private (non-insurance) work, payment terms are confirmed at the time of quote approval.
- We accept EFT (bank transfer), card, and cash.
- Invoices are due on completion of the repair, prior to collection of the vehicle, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For insurance-approved repairs, the insurer's excess (if applicable) is payable by you on collection.
5. Vehicle Drop-Off
- Vehicles should be dropped off with a reasonably empty tank and no valuables left inside. We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle.
- You must disclose any known pre-existing mechanical issues before work begins.
- Our team will note the vehicle's condition at drop-off; we recommend you do the same.
- We reserve the right to decline work on a vehicle where conditions pose an unreasonable health or safety risk to our staff.
6. Warranty & Complaints
- All paintwork carries a lifetime warranty, and all workmanship carries a 24-month warranty, against defects arising from our repair.
- If you are not satisfied with the quality of a repair, please notify us within 7 days of collection so we can assess and remedy the issue.
- Complaints must be submitted in writing by emailing info@bodylineauto.co.za, with clear photographs of the area in question.
- We will inspect and, where the issue is found to result from our workmanship, remedy it at no additional cost.
- This warranty does not cover damage from a subsequent accident, normal wear and tear, or work carried out by a third party after collection.
7. Liability
- Bodyline Auto Panel & Paint carries public liability insurance and takes responsibility for damage caused by our staff while your vehicle is in our care.
- Claims for damage not related to the original repair must be reported within 24 hours of collection. Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, mechanical faults unrelated to the repair, or normal wear and tear.
- Our total liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the repair in question.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Bodyline Auto Panel & Paint website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Bodyline Auto Panel & Paint and may not be reproduced without prior written permission.
9. Privacy
Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act (Act 68 of 2008) are not affected by these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
